Iru - User Guide

In this article, you will understand step by step how to easily integrate with Iru

Iru is a device management platform for Apple endpoints. It lets IT teams enroll devices, enforce security configurations, and keep software patched from a single console. Configurations are applied through Blueprints — reusable templates that define how a group of devices should be set up.

Required Permissions

  • Device list

  • Device details

  • Library (custom profiles)

  • Prism - System Extensions

  • Device Commands

Scytale follows the least-privilege principle, limiting permission scopes strictly to what's required for reliable audit evidence collection.

How to Connect

  1. In Scytale, go to 'Integrations'.

  2. Search for Iru and select 'Connect'.

  3. Paste your subdomain & API key.

  4. Add a connection name — this will be used to differentiate between your connections — and then select 'Connect'.

You have now successfully connected to Iru.

How to Create an API Key in Iru

  1. Navigate to Settings > Access > API Token

  2. Click Add API Token

  3. Assign the required permissions:

    • Device list

    • Device ID

    • Device details

    • Application list

    • Device Library Items

  4. Copy the generated API token (shown only once)

  5. Note your subdomain (the <your-subdomain> part of your Iru URL)
