OX Security - User Guide

In this article, you will understand step by step how to integrate Scytale with OX Security

OX Security is a platform that provides Code-to-Cloud security. It unifies findings from SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection, IaC scanning, and container security, and correlates them with CI/CD, infrastructure, and runtime data to identify which vulnerabilities are actually reachable.

Required Permissions

  • The Read Only permission must be assigned to the API key.

Scytale follows the least-privilege principle, limiting permission scopes strictly to what's required for reliable audit evidence collection.

How to Connect

  1. In Scytale, go to 'Integrations'.

  2. Search for OX Security and select 'Connect'.

  3. Paste your API key.

  4. Add a connection name — this will be used to differentiate between your connections — and then select 'Connect'.

You have now successfully connected to OX Security.

How to Generate an API Key in OX Security

  1. Log in to your OX Security dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Settings and select 'API Key Settings'.

  3. Select 'Create API Key'.

  4. Set a name for the key, set the type to 'API Integration', set the assigned role to 'Read Only', and set an expiration period.

  5. Copy the generated API key secret and store it securely.

Note: The API key secret is displayed only once. Be sure to copy it before closing the dialog.
