Neon is a serverless Postgres platform that provides a managed PostgreSQL database with instant branching, autoscaling compute, and point-in-time restore. Developers run and scale databases in the cloud without managing the underlying infrastructure.
Required Permissions
An Organization API key, created by a user with the Admin role in the organization, is required to read your organization's members and projects.
Scytale follows the least-privilege principle, limiting permission scopes strictly to what's required for reliable audit evidence collection.
How to Connect
In Scytale, go to 'Integrations'.
Search for Neon and select 'Connect'.
Paste your Organization API key.
Add a connection name — this will be used to differentiate between your connections — and then select 'Connect'.
You have now successfully connected to Neon.
How to Generate an Organization API Key in Neon
Log in to the Neon console at https://console.neon.tech with an account that has the Admin role in the organization
In the top-left breadcrumb, select the organization you want to connect (not a personal project view)
Open Settings from the organization menu
Select the API keys tab
Click Create new
Enter a name, leave the project scope empty (an org-wide key is required - a project-scoped key cannot list organization members), and click Create
Copy the key - it is displayed only once (keys look like
napi_..., 69 characters, and never expire until revoked)Paste the key into the Scytale Neon integration form as API Key
