Atlassian Organizations is the central administration platform for all Atlassian cloud products. It provides organization-level visibility and control over Atlassian accounts, including user identity, 2FA/MFA status, SSO/SAML configuration, security policies, and managed accounts - capabilities that are not exposed at the individual tool level.

Scytale follows the least-privilege principle, limiting permission scopes strictly to what's required for reliable audit evidence collection.

In Scytale, go to 'Integrations'.
Search for Atlassian Organizations and select 'Connect'.
Paste your API key & organization ID.
Select the directories you want to sync.

You have now successfully connected to Atlassian Organizations.
How to Generate an API Key in Atlassian Organizations
Go to admin.atlassian.com and select the relevant organization if you have more than one.
Select Organization settings > API keys.
Select Create API key in the top right.
Select API key with scopes.
Enter a name that makes it easy to remember the API key.
Select the expiration date for the API key. Keys can last no longer than a year, and once the key expires you will need to reconnect.
Search for read:directories:admin and select this scope.
Select Create to save the API key.
Copy the values for your organization ID and API key. You will need those to connect.
